Staffed by our experienced preschool teachers, A Child’s Place offers an extended summer of fun-filled theme-oriented camp sessions to excite young campers. We offer an entertaining and age-appropriate educational and play-based experience for children ages 2 to 6 (those entering first grade in the fall). Our camp sessions will provide opportunities to stimulate curiosity, creativity, and imagination!

Join us for an exciting summer camp session featuring a combination of science and creative play! Each day features a new science experiment or play activity centered around bubbles, 气球, 或繁荣! From basics such as “How do we create bubbles?” or “How can we turn a balloon into balloon art?” to more complex, “How can we make this paper mâché volcano explode with lava?” A summer camp session that does, in fact, aim to burst your bubble!

Join us for a summer camp session that explores multiple forms of art and art appreciation! For the animal loving camper, this summer camp session explores hands-on activities learning about animals! Featuring outdoor play to explore species native to Maryland throughout our beautiful university campus while learning about animals who hibernate and migrate through the seasons. Your wilderness explorer will track animal prints and signs of animals that naturally occur in our environment and create arts and crafts of their favorite species!

Join us for a summer camp session that explores the most abundant animal on earth-bugs! Bugs are essential to the world around us and are part of a vital relationship with humans. Campers will explore our beautiful university campus with hands-on and interactive activities to find bugs native to Maryland. Campers will learn above a variety of species and gain an appreciation of the value of creepy-crawlers.

  • Room 1 has a maximum capacity of 12 children, with a lead teacher and an assistant teacher. The average ratio is 1 adult to 6 campers.
  • Room 2 has a maximum capacity of 1 lead teacher to 6 campers.
  • Room 3 and 4 each have a maximum capacity of 16 children with a lead teacher and an assistant teacher. The average ratio is 1 adult to 10 campers.

Classroom placement is based on child’s birthday.
